OEM USB-C Hub Sourcing: What to Include in Your RFQ

An effective OEM USB-C hub enquiry identifies your target devices, required ports, display and charging requirements, order quantity, market and customization needs. Giving suppliers the same requirements makes their proposals easier to compare.
At AIRSKY, these details help us discuss a suitable existing model or assess an ODM development request for your project.
Start with your project type
For an existing AIRSKY model, send the model number, required changes and target devices. Tell us whether you need a logo, custom packaging or another change to be assessed.
For a new ODM project, share a functional brief or reference sample and identify the design, firmware, enclosure, tooling and validation work you need us to assess. If you own a released design, include the relevant revision-controlled files. Available development and customization scope must be confirmed for the project.
Include these details in your enquiry
| Requirement | Information to provide |
|---|---|
| Host devices | Exact laptop, tablet or handheld models and operating systems |
| Ports | Required HDMI, Ethernet, USB, card-reader and audio connections |
| Display | Intended resolution, refresh rate, monitor count, displays and cables |
| Power | Required host charging performance and the power adapter you intend to use |
| Simultaneous use | Which display, storage, network and charging functions must operate together |
| Order | Quantity per model, target market and requested schedule |
| Customization | Logo, packaging artwork and other requested changes |
| Validation | Device combinations, operating conditions and acceptance criteria to check on a sample |
For a starting point, review the HC87 multiport docking station and HC86A handheld docking station. Their configurations serve different setups. Confirm the selected model’s specifications and connection conditions before ordering.
Separate PD input from host charging output
For example, HC87’s published USB-C PD figure is an input rating of up to 100 W. It should not be treated as a confirmed 100 W output to the host.
Provide the host device, charger, cable and intended simultaneous workload. Ask for confirmation of the relevant power configuration and test conditions rather than relying on a headline wattage alone.
What are AIRSKY’s published ordering terms?
The standard MOQ is 50 units per product model. Mixed-model orders require at least 100 units in total. Custom logo orders start at 200 units per model, and custom color box packaging starts at 1,000 units per model.
Standard production time is 5–20 days from receipt of payment, depending on quantity. Custom logo or color box orders may take longer and are typically completed within one month. Exact production timing is confirmed against the quantity and requirements. Shipping time is additional.
These are the published ordering terms on the linked product pages. Ask us to confirm the applicable scope and schedule for your selected model and project.
